See The World as a Pastry Chef
2 Dec
Do men ever get to marry women who are amazing at cooking. Those who can make BBQ brisket, cocktail, any type of meat, sandwiches/paninis, steaks, fish/chicken dishes and desserts such as creme brulee/tiramisu/cheesecake/chocolate mousse. The type of person whomakesfresh jams, cream cheeses and breads.
I think women get these type of men more often. Even if the man is the breadwinner he cooks.
BUT if you look at all food blogs 95% of the owners and responders and one posting recipes and pictures are women not men.
How does this match up?
Are more men cooking these days?
Are women sitting around drinking while men slave away in the kitchen?
“”im married to a chef and youre right. it is usually women who find these type of men.”
“My brother is an amateur gourmet cook who married a woman who burns toast and a girlfriend of mine lived exclusively on tomato and mayonnaise sandwiches before I moved in. Anecdotal evidence suggests that your observation is correct.”
“My husband is a pastry chef, he’s been trained in all aspects of the kitchen and he is awesome. I make toast and cereal, that’s about it. I think men are definitely cooking more today and what’s nice is, most of them are actually quite good at it!”
“American women will marry metrosexual men who cook everything and defer to her. This is good news for the gay community as more of their children will probably be open to homosexuality.”

well, if my future hubby was looking for a cook…he missed out. Lol. I was born and raised in Louisiana and I cannot cook at all.

I cook for my boyfriend all the time. I love cooking. If you look at the cooks on food network, they are predominantly women. I think that they are out there, you just need to scope out the culinary centers of america and your local community colleges on their cooking nights…I’ll bet you find one.

ALL the women in my family are superb at baking, cooking, and creating new and interesting foods. I have created several recipes that have actually been published in popular magazines and recipe books. I only know of one man who is a superb chef, but he is 100% Italian, and learned to cook because he ended up a single parent and HAD to. My husband obviously REFUSES to learn to do ANYTHING in the kitchen. Why should he, when he has me around to do it. Sure, I would LOVE it if he did, but I created that monster.
I have NO idea what your last quote means – and how it relates to your question……. that is pretty random……
